Recently we received the results for the local winners of the 2014 Concours-entrepreneur contest. Unfortunately to all that have worked on this project, we were not chosen as local winners. I know many of you will be very disappointed with these results after the countless hours you have put into this project. I would just like to acknowledge and remind you what you accomplished within these few short months.
It is hard to imagine that just five months ago this project started as nothing more than an idea on a white board. Now, you have a structure capable of supporting more than 4000 lbs of water, and a business model that is providing your community with fresh lettuce and herbs on a weekly basis. To the students working on this project, I have been able to teach you the knowledge and expertise needed to operate a hydroponic based business. However, it is your hard-work, determination and drive that made this project a success. Although it may be a cliché, never forget that you truly are winners. I would also like to congratulate to the local winners of the Entrepreneurship contest.
